Bon does art brain smooth no thimk

This is my newest sticker sheet: Cosmic Halloween After Party. I recently bought a lamination machine and I tried to laminate my stickers. Hopefully that will help my prints last longer as for now my matte stickers can only be used in scrapbooks as they fade really fast under harsh lighting. It also adds a bit of thickness to my stickers making them more tear resistant. I'm planning to film a short video of them later.

I think this might be the last finished art work for this year and I am fairly proud of it. The stars and planets were aligned and bestowed me mental and physical health to be able to finish this one in a couple of days. He is Lục Xà Linh Quân, a serpent deity, He is a minor character in MEHU but has a separate story of his own. At first I just wanted to do a little sketch, but then I accidentally got in "the zone" and before I knew it, I even wrote him a song. Below is a snippet of it. I really like how I can paint a picture with music to compliment a picture I painted with colours. All to bring a scene, a character, a story in my head alive. I love art so much.

Below are stuff related to main story of Mister Exorcist and his Hopping Undead. I've been mainly making music and editing the plotline of the novel. I wanted to reverse the order of a couple of arcs so there's a lot of stuff I have to rewrite to make the new order make sense. It's kinda overwhelming so I haven't been able to draw as much. My body hurts, but I'm trying my best.

26th August 2024 - Chronic pain roller coaster, Book delay

Hello everyone! I am going to delay my book release for the time being due to health and other reasons hindering my productivity that I will talk about below. In the meanwhile, I am pretty active on my second IG account if you want to stay up to date with what I do.

Health
I haven't really been able to to use my PC the past month due to my chronic pain flaring up. I could only lay in bed if I'm not stretching or swimming. The pain is alleviated during those times, but the moment I stop, the pain would return within minutes. So in the end, swimming and stretching can only help so much. I consulted a doctor and a physical therapist half a year ago but they basically only told me to stretch and exercise. (Which is what I was already doing)
I contacted public healthcare last month but they have not gotten back at me so in desperation I used the little money that I had made from conventions this summer to seek help from private health care.Turns out, I do not have muscle stiffness issues.
What I am suffering from are symptoms of long covid, but further testing needs to be done.
What is clear is that my entire back/shoulder/neck muscle groups are Permanently inflamed due to my body constantly sending wrong signals to my brains.I was prescribed inflammation medicine and I have taken them for a week now and they halve helped me way more than swimming+stretching+accupoint+pain killer/muscle relaxants ever did.The pain is still there but it's more manageable for now.

Funds
I was supposed to hire professional editors and proofreaders for my book but now that I have used the funds to get medical help, I will have to save up money again for polishing steps of my book.

Research
I realized that there are cultural elements in my book that I can, should & want to polish further.
I will need a bit of extra time to create a better, more immersive story. Hope you understand.

who?

Hello! I am "Bon", a neurodivergent hobby artist based in Finland.
I speak english, finnish and vietnamese fluently.
I make music, visual art, handcrafts, stories and (unreleased) video games
to stay sane in the "real world" c:
I have been suffering from chronic pain for almost 2 years now and I'm actively seeking help for it. It heavily impacts my ability to to mundane things, let alone work, hence I also am not able to update social media very often.

what?

• Art

I draw anthromorphic animals, creepy cute art and pretty men from ancient fantasy worlds inspired by mostly chinese and vietnamese culture. I enjoy making illustrations for text heavy novels as well as comic panels for self made zines.

• Form

I am currently working on a queer novel with original sountrack that
you can learn more about on my author's page.

• Music

I mostly write story telling songs, character songs and vent music with virtual singers but I also enjoy making video game music, especially boss themes.
I often combine classical or traditional sinospherian musical elements with modern electronic sounds.
Chinese opera or vietnamese ca trù folk singing x dubstep is my current jam. an example of the latter one can be found in my newly released single "Mister Exorcist & his Hopping Undead lamenting"

I make wearable art accessories by hand using polymer clay and resin
like keychains, necklaces, brooches, and hair clips.
I also print and bind original zine and notebooks at home by myself.
I have dreams and plans for original design apparel and plushies in the future as well.

I have an on-going video game side project that I work on on and off. It's a deck building story-rich RPG that is based on my novel "Mister Exorcist & his Hopping Undead".
I will not die before I've released this one out to the world!
I know a thing or two about game dev and I enjoy it thoroughly for allowing me to combine all my creative skills, but the world of triple A and corporate greed is not for me so...
That didn't work out as a day job.
It killed all my creative juice and now I'm here pondering what to do next.

why?

I have been struggling with mental health my whole life until I took a deep dive into different art mediums in my mid 20s to cope with things.
Nowadays I feel much better and want to give back to the world.I want to inspire people to pursue creative self expression.
Log off social media, stop doom scrolling, stop over thinking and just let your mind wander off to create a story, short or long, be it one single drawing, a series of songs or even something as simple as your choice of fashion for tomorrow.Every creative thing you do is infused by your unique essence and experiences in life.
Each time you choose to get in tune with your emotions through creativity, you allow yourself to heal a little bit in the most natural way.So turn off the outside world for a moment and get a creative hobby you can dive deep into without caring about the end result. Enjoy the process, as long as it's not harming anyone, it will take you closer to happiness and inner peace, one session at a time.
